Who’s Looking Out for You?
Realtor® services for selling property remain in high demand, and the number of For Sale By Owners (FSBOs) is declining. A recent survey by the National Association of Realtors® found that Nationwide only 12% of all sales are conducted without Realtor® services. This is down from almost 20% at its peak several years ago.
Similar survey results were obtained regarding the buyer’s side of a real estate transaction. Over 90% of all buyers utilized the services of their Realtor® - whose purpose is to PROTECT and PROMOTE the interests of their client(s) – in this case, you, the buyer(s).
As a licensed Realtor® in Nevada, I can assist you with the purchase of real estate anywhere in Nevada, including new developments. While developers have made it very easy for you to investigate the homes in their new subdivisions, you need to be cautious. If your Realtor® doesn’t accompany you, Who Will Be Looking Out For You? It won’t be the on-site agents – they represent the sellers/developers – not you!
Realtors® are held to a high level of ethics, integrity, and honesty. More specifically, Realtors® have well defined duties that they owe their clients – duties of: loyalty, accountability, disclosure, confidentiality, and advisement.
